NANNING Nike Air Max 97 Mujer Baratas , China, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The 45th world gymnastics Championships will be held in Nanning, the capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Oct. 3-12. Following are five most interesting aspects about the world gymnastics championships.
Ethnic Zhuang culture
The world championships offers Guangxi a good opportunity to showcase the culture of Zhuang ethnic group.
Li Zijun, general director of the opening ceremony, told Xinhua that bronze drum, Zhuang silk and other ethnic features will be the highlights of the opening ceremony.
Li Ning
Li Ning, ambassador of the 45th world gymnastics championships Nike Air Max 97 Rosa Baratas , is expected to attend the opening ceremony.
Known as the "prince of gymnastics", Li won six medals at the 1984 Olympics and 11 world championship medals in his career.
Team China
Chinese male gymnasts finished a disappointing third in the team event at the Asian Games in Incheon, their worst ever results in the event in decades.
They are hoping to use the world championships to boost their morale and hone their skills for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Who to challenge Kohei Uchimura's supremacy
After Chinese gymnast Yang Wei retired, who outclassed Kohei Uchimura to win gold in the all-around event at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, nobody could challenge Uchimura's supremacy in the sport.
Uchimura, a five-time Olympic medalist, is considered by many the greatest gymnast of all time.
Deng Shudi, who won four gold medals at 2014 National Gymnastics Championships Nike Air Max 97 Rojas Baratas , will spearhead China's assault to Uchimura along with Liu Rongbing and Lin Chaopan.
